PERMITTED RESERVATIONS

To ensure the space is available for use as intended by 501(c)3 nonprofits, the following types of meetings and events are permitted:

  • Public and private meetings, classes, trainings, seminars, informational forums and workshops.
  • Community meals, cultural celebrations, film screenings.
  • Nonprofit fundraising events.

Events not permitted, include:

  • Personal use, such as birthday, graduation, holiday and anniversary parties.
  • Wedding ceremonies and receptions.
  • Events with alcohol tastings or sales.
  • Events with the main purpose of religious instruction, liturgical worship,
    non-liturgical worship, and informal worship activities.
  • Events or activities of a political nature that are in support of a particular candidate, party, or cause.
  • Events that discriminate against race, gender, marital status, sexual preference, age, disability, creed, or ethnicity.

For-profit groups will not be considered for rentals of Together Center spaces.

Denial or Rejections of Event Requests

In addition to the types of events not permitted above, Together Center administrative office may reject or deny an event request for the following reasons:

  • The applicant is not a designated 501(c)3 nonprofit organization or a fiscally sponsored organization of a 501(c)3.
  • Incomplete information submitted on the form.
  • Request form submitted too close to the requested event date.
  • The requested space, date or time is unavailable because another event is already booked.
  • The event or activity exceeds a 10-hour booking period in a single day.
  • The event or activity requires use of the entire conference center and spans multiple days (more than 1-day).
  • The meeting or event does not comply with Together Center applicable rules, state health law, fire codes, licensing regulations or other conditions of approval.
  • The use of the facilities or event is prohibited by law or does not comport with Together Center’s obligations as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

Together Center onsite nonprofit provider partners will be given preference for reserving Together Conference Center and common spaces. While we will consider requests for recurring reservations (such as monthly board meetings), requests for more frequent recurring meetings (such as weekly) will likely be denied. If you are unsure if your event is permissible, please email events@togethercenter.org Together Center reserves the right to deny reservation requests for any reason.
